Before becoming a novelist, Lisa built a distinguished career as a journalist and editor, serving as a managing editor at The Jerusalem Post, the Chicago Sun-Times, Moment Magazine, and Today’s Chicago Woman.
Among the defining moments of her journalism career, she covered the historic White House handshake between Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, PLO leader Yasser Arafat, and President Bill Clinton.
Lisa is a 2026 Jewish Women International “Woman to Watch” honoree, recognized for her achievements and impact in the Jewish community.
Lisa has appeared on Good Morning America and TODAY, bringing the same curiosity, intensity, and passion to her conversations that drive her novels. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband and three daughters. (aka: Drama Central).
